Six people, one apartment, one afternoon at a beer festival: the maths only works if nobody has to drive. **Crafted Beer & Cider Festival** marks its tenth year at **Kurrawa Park** on **Saturday 12 September 2026**, gates **11 am to 8.30 pm**, strictly eighteen-plus with photo ID checked at the door. From Fern Street the whole day runs without a car, which matters more than usual when the group's plan involves more than one round each.
## Two ways down, both car-free
The park sits on Old Burleigh Road, a short stretch north of Kurrawa Surf Club, and Kurrawa Beach itself is close to two kilometres south of Marriner Views, an easy stroll along the beachfront if the group wants to make the walk part of the day. The faster option is the tram: **Florida Gardens G:link station** is **750 metres** from the door, a few stops south to **Broadbeach North**, the nearest stop to the park. Either way, nobody's stuck with the sober drive home, and the festival runs **100% cashless** on the day, so a card and photo ID are all anyone needs once inside. There are no pass-outs, so once the group's through the gate, the whole afternoon happens on the inside.
## What's actually on
The 2026 lineup runs interstate-heavy: **Sanctus Brewing**, **Common People Brewing**, **Better Beer**, **Hound & Stag** and **Rock City Beer** join the local taps, with a proper cider list alongside. Live sets from **The Vanns** and **Selve** carry the afternoon, **Line Dancing** runs for anyone who wants to be on their feet between rounds, and **Cychos Buffalo Wings** and **The Wiener Haus & Bug Haus** cover lunch through dinner so nobody has to plan a meal around it. A **Crafted Legends Club** upgrade runs **$105** for prime seating and a brewery meet-and-greet; general entry starts lower, from **$55** in the 1st Release, and climbs to **$70** at the gate on the day, so booking ahead is worth it either way. ## Room for the whole crew afterwards
This is where Fern Street earns its keep. Marriner Views runs to **180 square metres**, two apartments a floor, laid out for a **cross-breeze** between the ocean side and the hinterland side. A group that's spent the day on their feet gets a proper lounge to fall into, not a hotel room with the beds pushed together, and the **heated saltwater pool**, set to **26°C**, is right there for whoever's up early enough to want it. The next morning is a gardens-and-BBQ affair rather than a rush to check out: the **tennis court** for anyone who slept it off fast, the **gardens and BBQ area** for everyone else comparing notes over a late breakfast.
