Most race-week accommodation copy leads with the hairpin at the end of the street. Marriner Views leads with the apartment you come back to. On Fern Street, a quarter-hour south of the cordon, the apartments run 180 square metres with two to a floor, which for a group doing all three days of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 beats a grandstand view from the kitchen window. It is a base camp, not a seat: somewhere to cook, sprawl and reset between sessions on 23, 24 and 25 October 2026.
Two apartments to a floor, 180 square metres to spread out
The space is the point. Each apartment is 180 square metres with only one neighbour on the level, so six people travelling together get bedrooms at opposite ends and a living room nobody has to tiptoe through. The kitchen is a full one, so race mornings start with a proper breakfast on your own clock rather than a café queue behind fans in team shirts.
There is no air-conditioning here, and on race weekend that reads as a feature. The apartments are fan-cooled, ocean-facing windows on one side and hinterland on the other. Spring nights you sleep with the windows open and the sea air moving through, and well south of the circuit it is beach air coming in, not exhaust and generator hum off the track.
Walking in, and the trade on noise
When you do want the track, it is a fifteen-minute walk north along the beachfront to the Cavill Avenue end of the precinct, or nine minutes to Florida Gardens G:link station and one or two stops up to the gates. The circuit is the same loop the Supercars have run since 2010: a 2.96-kilometre street lap of fifteen turns and two chicanes threading Surfers Paradise, finishing at the Tedder Avenue hairpin, Turn 14. Cars cannot cross the track during sessions, but marshalled pedestrian gates stay open for residents and guests. The honest note: the V8s are loud, and they run from morning to late. Marriner Views sits about 1.5 kilometres south of the cordon, clear of the grandstands, but the sound still carries across the suburb in still air and a Friday practice reaches the upper floors. Pack something for your ears if you are trackside all day. It is a loud few days by design, so a quiet getaway is better booked for other dates.
Tickets, and the shape of the three days
The three days run to a familiar shape: Friday practice and qualifying, the quietest and cheapest single-day general admission; Saturday the support categories out in force and championship racing under way; Sunday the main game, fireworks and the flag. General admission starts at AU$76 a day for the fences with a chair or a rug; reserved fanstand and grandstand seats from AU$93 a day; a Pit Lane Walk upgrade adds behind-the-scenes access from AU$30. Leave the car where it is
The G:link is the best call of the weekend. Translink usually runs an expanded race-week timetable nearer the event, with Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise and Surfers Paradise North ringing the circuit and Florida Gardens at the Fern Street end. A go explore pass buys a full day of unlimited light rail and bus travel, the easy way south to Broadbeach for dinner once the racing stops; the race-week timetable and pass fares are both on ridetheg.com.au.
Driving in is the hard way: parking inside the cordon is scarce and the one-way diversions change daily. Every Marriner apartment comes with a complimentary undercover space, one per apartment, 2-metre clearance. Park it Thursday and leave it until Monday.
The pool deck, and the meal after the flag
This is where the base-camp idea pays off. The heated saltwater pool sits at 26 degrees year-round, with a large heated spa, a sauna and a steam room beside it, the right end of the property to be after a long day on your feet at Turn 14. And when Sunday’s flag drops and every restaurant on Cavill Avenue is booked out or queuing down the footpath, you have a full kitchen and 180 square metres to cook the proper post-race meal in. Broadbeach is 450 metres the other way if you would rather someone else did the cooking.
Book for October 2026
23 to 25 October 2026. Check-in is 2 to 5 pm, with late arrival arranged in advance; a Thursday check-in through to a Monday departure lines up neatly with the three race days. Quiet hours from 9 pm and a strict no-party policy apply. Book months out; walkable beds near the circuit are a small pool against predictable demand.
