Futsal trips are not built around one kick-off. The Mitre National Futsal Championships run for five days, from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 January 2027, at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in Carrara. Football Australia has confirmed the event as the second year of a three-year Gold Coast agreement.
For a player, coach or family member, that means a lot of small decisions across one summer week: breakfast before the first session, wet gear after it, a quiet place for a sibling to sit out a round, and enough room for everyone to be ready again the next day. A large apartment changes those parts of the trip.
One apartment, one group plan
Every apartment at Marriner Views is 180 square metres, with a full kitchen, private balcony, separate laundry and two bathrooms. The two-bedroom apartment sleeps up to six. Both three-bedroom layouts sleep up to seven, with a rollaway bed available for the seventh guest. They are useful configurations when a player is travelling with parents and siblings, or when a small group is coordinating the week together.
The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, oven, stovetop, dishwasher and a dining table. It is enough for an early breakfast, packed snacks and a simple dinner without turning every meal into another booking. The washing machine and tumble dryer take care of uniforms and towels between match days. Those basics are less glamorous than the competition, but they make a five-day stay easier to run.
Marriner has only two apartments on each floor. Apartment interiors are individually furnished, and outlooks vary by apartment. Higher floors have ocean views, while the first-floor three-bedroom overlooks the pool rather than the ocean. Choose the layout that fits the group rather than booking around an assumed view.
The competition, confirmed so far
The 2027 tournament will bring emerging players from eight Football Australia Member Federations to Carrara. Announced divisions are U12 to U16 Boys, Youth Men and Open Men, plus U13, U15 and U17 Girls, Youth Women, Open Women and Open AWD Mixed.
That is the confirmed event outline at publication. The draw, match times, entry details and any spectator arrangements should come from the official championships site, not an accommodation page written months beforehand. Once the schedule is published, use it to decide how long the group needs to stay and how it will travel between Fern Street and Carrara.
Make the non-match hours count
Northcliffe Beach is 50 metres across the road from Marriner. It gives the group an easy place to get some air after a day indoors, while the heated outdoor saltwater pool, spa, sauna and steam room remain on site for a slower afternoon. The pool is heated to 26°C year-round. There is also a fitness centre, a full-sized tennis court and a covered BBQ area, though tennis equipment carries an additional charge.
These are not team facilities and the building is not part of the championships. They are simply the things available when the fixture list leaves a few hours open. Quiet hours run from 9 pm to 7 am, which suits a group that needs a decent night before another early start.
Bring the car, or decide later
Each apartment has one complimentary undercover parking space, with a 2-metre clearance. That is useful for guests driving to the coast, but transport to the venue is still a plan to make once the team has its schedule. Florida Gardens G:link station is 750 metres from the building for other Gold Coast plans. There are no airport transfers or daily housekeeping at Marriner, so a self-contained stay works best for a group prepared to set its own rhythm.
Check availability once the group has a travel plan, then return to the official event update for the draw and tournament arrangements as they are released.
