Getting six people to choose a Show ride is easy. Getting the same six people to agree on bedrooms, arrival times and who is driving takes longer. For the Gold Coast Show from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 August 2027, start with the group decisions and leave the entertainment program until it exists.
The dates come directly from the organisers’ official Gold Coast Show announcement. No 2027 venue, entry arrangements or daily schedule have been published yet. That does not stop a family or group from choosing an apartment with enough room for three nights together.
Match the bedrooms to the people
Marriner Views apartments are 180 square metres, with only two apartments on each floor. Every apartment has two bathrooms, a full kitchen, an in-apartment laundry and a private balcony.
The two-bedroom apartments sleep up to six. The three-bedroom apartments sleep up to seven. One three-bedroom category sits on the first floor with pool and garden outlooks; the separate 19th-floor category has an ocean view. Choose between those confirmed categories and treat any other floor or outlook preference as a request rather than a promise.
Booking group accommodation in advance gives everyone a fixed address before travel plans split into separate searches. It also settles the part of the weekend with the most constraints: the right number of beds and bathrooms. The Gold Coast Show describes more than 140,000 visitors coming together. At that scale, preparing early is more useful than leaving a large-apartment search until close to the weekend.
Write the rest in pencil
Once the apartment is settled, keep the planning list short:
- Watch the organiser’s site for the 2027 venue and program.
- Choose one full Show day or shorter visits when the daily line-up is known.
- Check Translink and official parking advice shortly before travelling.
- Leave an unplanned stretch for the beach, pool or a meal together.
Broadwater Parklands has hosted the Show since 2018 and sits about 6 km north of Marriner Views. It is the likely 2027 venue, but the organiser has not confirmed that yet. If it is named again, Florida Gardens G:link station is 750 metres from the building and the line runs north towards Southport. Every apartment also includes one undercover parking space with 2-metre clearance. Until the venue is announced, neither route needs to be locked in.
Come back to Fern Street
The 2026 Show was a blast: a sunny weekend, Broadwater Parklands busy with people, and long days of rides, displays, show food and fireworks. A roomy apartment earns its keep after that much noise and walking.
Back on Fern Street, the beach is across the road. The heated saltwater pool holds 26°C through winter, with a large spa, sauna and steam room nearby. The kitchen gives the group a dinner option that does not require another queue, and the lounge is large enough for everyone to stop doing the same thing at once.
Marriner’s apartments have fans and a cross-breeze rather than air-conditioning. They face two ways, towards the ocean and the hinterland, so opening the balcony doors lets the sea air move through.
Agree on the headcount. Save 27 to 29 August 2027. Reserve the space, then let the organisers fill in the Show.
