The aircraft have gone home, but the 2026 Pacific Airshow Gold Coast left a big impression. Beaches were full, the runs over the Pacific stopped people in their tracks, and the energy carried from Surfers right along the sand. The next part is settled: the Queensland Government has secured the event through to 2028, confirming the Airshow for 2027 and 2028.
For the next edition, think beyond the crowded part of the weekend. Marriner Views is across the road from Northcliffe Beach, a little south of the main Surfers bustle, in apartments made for people travelling together.
Start with the space
Every Marriner apartment is 180 square metres. There are only two apartments on each floor, with a private balcony, a proper lounge and dining area, full kitchen and separate laundry. That changes the pace of an event stay. Four, five or six people can have breakfast without taking turns at the table. The beach gear has a place to land. The group can come back between sessions without anyone feeling shut in.
The apartments are dual aspect, with the Pacific to one side and the hinterland to the other. Ceiling and standing fans, together with the cross-breeze layout, keep the apartment comfortable. Ocean views are confirmed from floors 17 and above, subject to the apartment you book, so flag a high-floor preference early if the horizon is part of your plan.
A different rhythm on Fern Street
The show made the beach feel communal in 2026. That is the fun of it. Northcliffe gives you room to step back after the loudest part of the day. Cross Fern Street and you are on the sand; walk north when you want more of the crowd, then come back to the building when the group wants a swim, a snack or a sit-down.
The heated saltwater pool is 26°C year-round, with a heated spa beside it. There is a sauna, steam room, gym and tennis court too. They are not filler around the main event. On a winter weekend, they give the day some shape before and after the beach.
Dinner can stay simple. The apartments have full kitchens, and Broadbeach is the closer direction for a meal out. Either way, it is good to have 180 square metres waiting after a long day in the sun.
What is confirmed for 2027
The State’s announcement locks Pacific Airshow Gold Coast in through 2028 and describes it as Australia’s only event of its kind, built around military aircraft, aerobatics and elite skydiving over the Surfers Paradise beachfront. It does not announce the 2027 dates, programme, tickets or precinct layout. Those details should come from the organisers.
That leaves one useful planning decision for now: choose the apartment around the people you are bringing. The three-bedroom layouts suit families and groups; the two-bedroom apartment works neatly for a couple or a smaller travelling party. Interiors are individually owned and vary, and apartment allocation is subject to availability, so make any high-floor or view request at booking rather than assume it.
Keep the car parked when you can
Northcliffe Beach is 50 metres away. SkyPoint is about a 10-minute walk and Florida Gardens light rail station is 750 metres from Marriner Views. The apartment comes with one secure undercover parking space, but the better event-weekend plan may be to leave the car there once you arrive and follow the official transport advice closer to the show.
Road access, public transport services and ticketed viewing areas are event-specific. The 2026 arrangements have finished, so they are not a guide to 2027. Check the official Pacific Airshow Gold Coast site for the next release, then give yourself extra time on the day.
Book the room around the weekend
The 2027 date will be announced by the organisers. Marriner already offers the quiet end of Surfers, the beach across the road and enough room for the whole crew.
